Created by Nike, the two-day Mamba League Invitational brought together elite high school boys’ and girls’ teams from across the nation to showcase their skill, passion, and competitive spirit on the court. Inspired by The Mamba Mentality, the tournament celebrated Kobe Bryant’s enduring legacy through excellence, discipline, and the relentless pursuit of greatness.
The event took place August 23 (Kobe’s birthday) and August 24 (Kobe Day) at L.A. LIVE, steps away from the house that Kobe built — Crypto.com Arena. Set within this iconic backdrop, the next generation of basketball talent honored The Black Mamba in the most fitting way possible: through high-level competition and an unwavering commitment to improvement.
Across two intense days of play, teams went head-to-head for the opportunity to be crowned champions of the Mamba League Invitational, delivering a powerful tribute to Kobe Bryant’s legacy and the future of the game.
